Early Childhood Endowment

A long term goal is to create an endowment that focuses on Early Childhood Education and Care in the Seward area. This fund would make the explicit connection between early childhood development/education as a critical component of overall economic development of the community.

An endowment would solve the pressing need to compensate for childcare and early childhood development professionals in the Seward Area that are not earning a livable wage through their work. Retention of qualified professionals is an area of need for our community and it is shown that higher wages increase the longevity of childcare workers.

Here at HYPER we are committed to create solutions needed to provide longevity and sustainability to Early Childhood Education (ECE) programs and professionals by creating a fund focused on:

• Retention of childcare providers

• Certified teachers and ECE professionals

• Bring up the average income of childcare and ECE workers

• Incentivize childcare and ECE businesses to operate in Seward

• Drive economic development through affordable childcare and ECE solutions.

• Support the Sustainability of programs for 0-5 year olds

• Seed profit-generating projects and initiatives
